Hi, I'm Oliver
I am a project manager. Parent. Expat living in London, United Kingdom.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, fresh routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than they needed to be.
The Adaptation Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the fly. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began shaping something that felt steady.
Why I Created Meadow Grain Frame
Most information found online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap—practical guidance drawn from real life in United Kingdom.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from living in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in United Kingdom continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Oliver
